Print doesnt stick V
V. Adding a build plate adhesion – brim/raft
Bigger prints are often printing well, with good adhesion to the platform, but smaller models or models with a small footprint on your print bed will often need some type of build plate adhesion as brim or raft, which can be easily added in your slicer software.
Brim adds a single layer of a few number of perimeter lines to improve adhesion contact of the print to the bed. Brim is less wastefull of theese two options.
Raft - depending on the parameters you enter, the raft adds a certain shadow of your print to the platform, which is printed in a thicker and better adhesive layer. Then your model is printed on the raft in the usual way. Rafts tend to create a rough and uncomfortable surface where it touches your print, and consume more material than Brim. However, the advantage of Raft is that it can be easily rip off the platform.
